Discover one of the of most beautiful mangrove wetlands in Mexico: the tour is approximately 6 km along a network of canals surrounded by lush vegetation that often makes dark tunnels, surrounded by lots of wild flora and fauna, such as orchids, turtles and crocodiles.

Get to know the real story behind this ancient colonial port. You will be surprised by the splendor it possessed in its heyday.

Near the main square, you find the famous pier, Fátima Church, City Hall, Fort San Basilio with the ruins of The Rosary Church “La Marinera” and above all, the Old Customs House. If you like mystery, ask about the abandoned “Playa Hermosa” hotel.

Sport Fishing

It is well known that San Blas is traditionally a fishing village, but if you’re a lover of this activity, just head up to the pier and throw out a hook.

Both in the estuary and open sea, you can live a great adventure and find a variety of fish such as Dorado, Sailfish and Marlin, and you can also watch humpback whales which visit our coasts every winter.

Just 20 minutes from San Blas is the town of Tecuitata, and from there you can take the road to El Cora. It is a majestic place with bodies of water and lush vegetation between the forest and the jungle, with a tropical climate full of life, perfect for admiring the scenery, swimming, relaxing and connecting with the local vibe.

In San Blas you will find excellent beaches with the advantage that you can relish them without the amount of tourists you might encounter at other destinations. We definitely recommend Borrego Beach, Matanchen and Islitas Beach, special for surfers of all levels.
