One of the many distinguished visitors arriving to San Blas every winter since ancient times are the humpback whales who come to the warm waters of our coasts to mate and give birth to the calves. You can go on a boat tour with specialized guides to enjoy this amazing show as well as venturing to swim with whale sharks.

Thanks to the vast coastline of San Blas and Matanchen Bay, as well as the many inland waters of streams, lakes and rivers, fishing is an activity that can be maximized at this beautiful destination. Whether in the ocean or in estuaries, recreational and sport fishing is enjoyed increasingly among locals and tourists.
There are not many special requirements for fishing in San Blas; amateurs can start with just a rod, a hook and a few meters of line, no special permission is needed. There are several fishing cooperatives that also offer sport fishing services.
