From this Monday, October 24th to Sunday 30th, we’ll have a week full of artistic, ecological and cultural activities in San Blas, aimed at children and adults. An excellent opportunity to visit this magical port!
Within the program of the National Preservation Week 2016, a Sea Turtle-themed mural will be painted on the outer wall of Cetmar No. 12, which you can attend every evening from 5 to 7 pm.
The House of Culture will host numerous events, there will be two interesting permanent photographic exhibitions, one about “The fauna of protected natural areas of Nayarit” and another on “Amphibians of Nayarit”.
In addition, this Monday afternoon, the documentary “Mexico’s Hidden Treasure” shot in San Blas by the news team “For the Planet” will be screened; and Tuesday, there will be a recycling and crafts workshop with the “Ecologízate al 100” crew.
An unmissable activity is the turtles release that will be held on Wednesday 26th at dawn in the A’ayetsie Wakie turtle camp on Borrego Beach, if you’ve never lived this experience before, you’ll see that worth getting up early!
Our friends from Jaguares Biking will have two cyclists rides, one on Wednesday afternoon, and the prime route on Sunday from 8 am; both starting off from the Main Square of our beautiful town.
On Thursday, October 27th, we will have educational workshops for children and the documentary “Home” will be screened at the House of Culture; on Friday, the theme will be mangroves preservation, with a fun dynamic to plant one of these important species.
For the weekend, we have prepared the Eco-fair with many participating institutions such as Uumbali, Ecologízate al 100, Natupekes, CONAFOR, La Papalota, CONANP Isabel Island, Kiekari Crocodile Farm, Platanitos Beach Ecological AC, Ecological Park Camp Tepic, Entre Amigos and many more.
