5 Typical Dishes of San Blas

It is not a surprise that given the abundance of natural resources that we have in San Blas, the gastronomy of this beautiful port is based on seafood; a look at the following five delicious dishes will surely convince you to visit us.

1) Zarandeado Fish

Definitely your visit to San Blas is not complete without tasting this typical delight of the Riviera Nayarit; The special way of preparing it over smoked mangrove wood where all the ingredients are combined results in an experience that is very difficult to forget.

3) Smoked Marlin

Unlike other parts of the world, in Mexico and specially on the coast of Nayarit, we’ve got the immense joy of having abundant marlin, one of the most charming dishes for those who try it for the first time, either in tacos, tostadas, burritos or any way you can think of.

4) Tatemado Fish

Another unique way to harness the mangrove wood which is not lacking in our shores, is preparing the delicious tatemado fish; unlike the zarandeado that normally uses snapper, tatemado takes all the great flavor of the thin lip mullet, specialty of San Blas.
