The Awesome “Salto del Cora” Waterfall

For all those adrenaline and outdoors fans, less than an hour away from San Blas, there is a fabulous waterfall of almost 40 meters high where you can perform many recreational activities, here you will find more details:

To reach this beautiful nature nook, just go south to Miramar and then take the No. 76 state road to Tepic, a few minutes later, you’ll get to the small town of Tecuitata where you must take a detour signposted as “El Cora “.

Along the way, you can admire the exotic vegetation and the breathtaking scenery of our municipality, for example, in Tecuitata it is possible to catch sight of the cool Piedras Negras stream, which comes from the Sierra and flows up to the Pacific Ocean.

As you approach the waterfall, you will get fantastic viewpoints to appreciate the mountain ranges that separate San Blas from the state capital, many birds adorn the path with their singing, making this hike an unforgettable experience.

A couple of kilometers after leaving the town of El Cora, named in honor of the dominant Pre-Hispanic culture, the sound of falling water will give the sign that you have reached your destination!
