San Blas at Mexico’s Hidden Treasure

With great joy we received at San Blas the “For the Planet” news staff, who toured around some emblematic places of the Riviera Nayarit, including Isla del Rey and Isla Isabel, showing their enormous ecological and cultural value, here we tell you a bit more about it.

During the months of February and June of this 2016,  an excellent work was done to document the stunning beauty of our region, as well as the spiritual importance particularly present at Isla del Rey, that Huichol People consider The Origin of Life.

Reporter Alberto Tinoco Guadarrama and his team accompanied a Wikárika community in a ceremony of gratitude to Tatei Haramara, “Our Mother”, right in front of the Sacred White Rock, inviting all visitors to preserve and respect the unique legacy inherited by the Huichol culture.

In addition, reporters take us for a magical trip to Isabel Island, the birds paradise where the magnificent frigate and blue-footed booby, are the stars of this spectacular ecosystem, but they are not the only attraction, the rich surrounding waters are also home to countless marine species.
