Beginner Surfers Prefer Platanitos Beach!

As many already know, the beaches of San Blas have been recognized internationally for its beauty and special charm for beginner surfers, besides having one of the longest waves in the world according to the Guinness Records.

This time, we tell you how to get to Platanitos Beach, located less than an hour away from the port, heading south towards the town of Las Varas. Leaving San Blas, we must go through all the Matanchen tourist corridor, Aticama & Los Cocos Beach and Santa Cruz de Miramar.

A few kilometers later, you will arrive to this beautiful beach, which is said to be the birthplace of “zarandeado fish”, one of the most representative dishes of the Riviera Nayarit. You definitely cannot miss the opportunity to try it, in one of the traditional palapa style restaurants you find there.
